The softest gel in our product line is Gelatin #5. Researchers worldwide use this gel to simulate certain bodily tissues and substances for imaging and practice. Both as a training tool and a research implement, it provides the opportunity to train with real-like feel and perform cost-effective research.

One of the most common uses of Gelatin #5 is to simulate blood clots and brain tissue. Its texture makes it useful for surgical training procedures as well as for imaging and research, as it responds to touch and to imaging machinery just like human tissue.

Like blood clots and brain tissue, this gel’s texture makes it more likely to fall apart as a result of repeated handling and needle punctures. Forming a new mold is as simple as heating the gel, pouring it into a mold and letting it cool at room temperature. Additionally, it is easily customizable in terms of color.
