Gelatin #1 is slightly softer than Gelatin #0, making it more pliable and reminiscent of softer muscles. This gel is a top choice for ultrasounds, CT scans, and MRIs where a phantom is needed to simulate a body part.

 

The most common use of Gelatin #1 is as a simulation for neck muscles. Due to its durable texture, it can also imitate healthy skin, as well as the liver, heart, and more! It can handle repeated needle punctures and is perfect for training with realism. Additionally, it provides excellent contrast in almost any type of medical imaging.

 

Gelatin #1 comes in chunks that can be melted and molded to take on any form. You can reuse this gel as several times — simply heat it, pour it into a mold, and let it cool to room temperature to start over.

About Our Gelatin

Humimic Medical gelatin is modern-day gelatin, is 100% synthetic, and contains no organic materials. It has taken the place of conventional ballistic gelatin, which is 100% organic, and completely temperature unstable. It is 100% clear, odorless, reusable, temperatures stable (temperatures up to 190F). It is non-toxic. Our gelatin is moldable into any shape. Our ballistic gelatin does not mold or rot. Our ballistic gelatin does not require special storage. Our entire gelatin process is batch controlled.
