VH1000 Vessel Ultrasound Training Model is a full ultrasound training system that provides blood flow simulation in a phantom that hosts complex blood vessel structures with a bifurcating branch and curvature. Human tissue with vessels that carry blood mimicking fluid is simulated for 2D B-mode and/or Doppler ultrasound training. The fluid has the same consistency and color as blood, making it very realistic for clinical training of guiding a syringe needle with ultrasound followed by pulling back the plunger to visualize blood in the syringe to confirm correct needle placement. This cost-effective flow phantom is the first of its kind on the market, and comes with two pumps, blood reservoir, phantom, tubes, and is packed in a rugged, sealed transport case for setting up the system at different sites. The gel is skin colored (Caucasian and others can be ordered). It is a lightweight and economical training aid, that will allow clinicians to perform sonographic procedures and to acquire images of blood vessels, providing hands-on training at a reasonable cost. By repetitively training on these phantoms, the clinicians are able to develop psychomotor skills of guiding the needles to the simulated vessels with ultrasound. With the consistency that resembles human soft tissues, flow of blood mimicking fluid, this phantom will be one of the most advanced and human-like simulators you can have at your establishment. As with other Humimic ultrasound training models, this phantom will perform well under any ultrasound imaging system that is configured with the appropriate transducer. The recommended ultrasound transducer for our model is the high-frequency linear array ultrasound probe 5.0 – 12 MHz.
