Humimic’s Dark Skin Tone Dye adds another level of realism to our popular medical phantoms, allowing clinicians to emulate darker complexions in a training environment. This dye blends easily with clear gels to create an opaque, realistic skin tone for teaching and practice procedures.
A little bit of our high-concentrate dye goes a long way. This means one gel can color multiple samples, making Dark Skin Tone Dye a cost-effective and simple means of creating varied pigments in training gelatins.
For best results, use one-quarter of the colored gel to mix with a clear gel. Place the two gels in a heat-safe container and melt them at 225ºF/107ºC, stirring them together once they have melted. Pour this new mixture into a mold and allow it to cool at room temperature. This new, lifelike gelatin will be reusable and will behave exactly like regular gelatins.
