Adding Flesh Tone Dye to your phantoms is one of the best ways to emulate real-life clinical conditions in training. This flesh tone dye adds a more lifelike appearance to medical gelatins, making them opaque and concealing what lies beneath the surface. This allows training facilities to simulate practices such as ultrasound-guided procedures.
Our Flesh Tone Dye is highly concentrated, meaning a little of it goes a long way. One colored gel can provide enough color for four transparent gels, making it a radically cost-effective way to add realism to your training phantoms.
To use this dye, take one quarter of the Flesh Tone Dye gel and place it in a heat-safe vessel with a transparent gelatin. Use indirect heat to bring the gels to 225ºF/107ºC. Once they have melted, stir them together and pour the new gelatin into a mold. Allow it to cool at room temperature. Once it has cooled, you can use this new mixture like you would any other Humimic gelatin.
