Gelatin #5 – Medical Gel by the Pound

$42.98

Gelatin #5 is our softest medical gelatin, designed to replicate delicate tissues such as brain matter and blood clots. It’s moldable, reusable, and trusted for simulation and R&D.

Description

Made for modeling clots, brain tissue, and low-density organs.

Humimic’s Gelatin #5 is the softest human gelatin analog in our lineup, ideal for simulating fragile anatomy like brain tissue, blood clots, and soft internal organs. It’s used worldwide in both training and research for its responsiveness to touch, imaging, and needle-based procedures.

This synthetic gelatin behaves like soft tissue under ultrasound and physical manipulation, providing an effective environment for surgical technique practice or experimental testing. While its soft nature means it may degrade with repeated punctures, it’s easy to remelt, recast, and color-customize between sessions.

Like all Humimic gels, Gelatin #5 is non-toxic, odorless, and fully synthetic, with no organic ingredients and no special storage needs.

Features:

  • Ultra-Soft Texture – Mimics blood clots, brain tissue, and fragile structures
  • Responsive to Touch – Behaves like soft human gelatin under real procedures
  • Imaging-Compatible – Works with ultrasound and other modalities
  • Fully Reusable – Melt, mold, and reshape without loss of performance
  • 100% Synthetic – No rot, no mold, no refrigeration required

FAQs

  1. What makes Gelatin #5 different from other Humimic gels?
It’s the softest in our product line, ideal for simulating fragile tissues like clots or brain matter.
  2. Can I use this for ultrasound-based procedures?
Yes. This human gelatin alternative works well for ultrasound and simulates soft-tissue feedback under imaging.
  3. Will this gel fall apart with repeated use?
Due to its softness, repeated punctures may cause breakdown, but it’s fully remeltable and reusable.
  4. Can I color this gel?
Yes. You can mix it with tan dye or other pigments to create visually distinct models.
  5. Is it safe to handle?
Once cooled, yes. Always avoid direct contact with hot gel, and follow safety instructions when heating.
