Description
Made to simulate vascular access under ultrasound.
The HM4.0 includes four vessels of different sizes and depths for progressive skill training. It’s ideal for central line placement, venipuncture, PICC lines, and arterial access.
This model provides fluid feedback when the vessel is entered, confirming correct technique. The soft, tissue-like material responds realistically under a 5.0–12 MHz linear probe and self-heals after each puncture.
Reusable and remoldable up to three times, the HM4.0 supports thousands of training attempts without disposable parts. Clear and colorized options allow you to adjust imaging needs, from anatomical teaching to lifelike ultrasound practice.
Latex-free and made in the USA, this model is a cost-effective and reliable tool for simulation labs, educators, and clinical teams.

FAQs
- How long does the HM4.0 last?
Each block supports up to 3,000 needle passes and can be remolded up to three times for extended use.
- Which ultrasound probe is recommended?
A 5.0–12 MHz high-frequency linear array probe provides the best results.
- What’s the difference between clear and colorized phantoms?
Clear phantoms are excellent for teaching anatomy but require higher gain (80–90%). Colorized phantoms are closer to human tissue density and typically need only 60–70% gain.
- Does this model require disposable inserts?
No. The HM4.0’s self-healing tissue eliminates the need for consumables.
- Can the phantom be safely remolded?
Yes. Follow the included instructions, do not exceed 250°F (121°C), and always allow gel to cool before handling.
