Description
Approaching the more pliable end of our ballistic gels is Gelatin #3, which is the third softest gelatin available. Like all of our gels, it provides clear contrast under MRI, ultrasound, and CT scans, and is perfect for medical training.
Researchers find this gel indispensable for simulating uterus tissue, as well as extremely fatty tissue such as that found in patients with obesity. It provides a realistic phantom of fatty tissue around the axilla, while its texture is useful for simulating the looser skin of elderly patients.
Due to its pliability, Gelatin #3 will need to be remolded after a certain number of needle injections. However, this process is easy — simply heat the gel, pour it into a mold, and let it cool at room temperature.
About Our Gelatin
Humimic Medical gelatin is modern-day gelatin, is 100% synthetic, and contains no organic materials. It has taken the place of conventional gelatin, which is 100% organic, and completely temperature unstable. It is 100% clear, odorless, reusable, temperatures stable (temperatures up to 190F). It is non-toxic. Our gelatin is moldable into any shape. Our medical gelatin does not mold or rot. Our medical gelatin does not require special storage. Our entire gelatin process is batch-controlled.
