The Orientation Ultrasound Phantom Trainer provides a controlled way to practice ultrasound image acquisition and orientation. Two refillable vessels at different shapes and depths allow users to scan from multiple angles and observe how plane of cut and probe movement affect imaging.
Helps new learners avoid orientation errors during ultrasound scanning.
The Orientation Ultrasound Phantom Trainer is designed to teach image orientation and basic ultrasound principles. Two vessels with different shapes and depths are embedded in the phantom. They can be scanned from the top, bottom, or sides to replicate common scan planes used in patient care.
The phantom is made with Humimic SimuGel™, which mimics the acoustic properties of human tissue. Instructors can refill the vessels with water, air, or other solutions to show how echogenicity and artifact appearance change.
Two model options are available: a clear version for visual feedback during teaching or a colorized version that provides ultrasound characteristics closer to real tissue and requires less gain adjustment. This trainer is suitable for individual scanning or structured group sessions in simulation labs and introductory ultrasound programs.
Safety & Compliance Note: Store the phantom in a cool, dry environment away from direct heat sources. Do not expose to temperatures above 250°F (121°C). Always follow MSDS guidance for safe handling and training use.
It is commonly used in ultrasound training programs, simulation labs, and medical education facilities.
Clear models give visual reference during teaching but require higher gain (80–90%). Colorized models produce more tissue-like ultrasound images and require less gain adjustment (60–70%).
Yes. They can be refilled multiple times for demonstrations and practice.
A high-frequency linear probe is recommended.
No. The phantom can be stored in a cool, dry location using the included airtight container.
